The Copper Country Ski Tigers are holding their annual ski and gear swap Saturday, October 28, 2017, at the Houghton High School multi-purpose room from 10 AM to Noon.
Buy and sell outdoor gear – cross country skis, snow bikes, bikes, camping gear, outdoor clothing, or any other item for the silent sports enthusiast. Sellers - take the opportunity to sell that gear now. Buyers - stock up! The Ski Tigers will also wax your skis in preparation for winter for a nominal fee, and as always, there will also be delicious baked goods for sale!
Drop off items to be sold on either Friday (10/27) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. or Saturday (10/28) 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Sale begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday and ends at noon. Pick up unsold items and/or checks for sold equipment from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Saturday.
There is a 15% commission, with a $50 maximum, charged on all items sold. All proceeds are used to support the Copper Country Ski Tigers race team (State Champions 5-years running).
Races through downtown Copper Harbor - 30 minutes for the women, kids and beginners; 45 minutes for the expert men.
Races start and end at the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge. 30-minute events for men and women (45 minutes for expert men).
