The Keweenaw Trails Alliance is a partnership fostering a network of sustainable trails for recreation, health, transportation, economic and environmental stewardship throughout the Keweenaw.

Do you volunteer? Keep track of your time: We have started gathering data on the support for silent sports in the area. Part of this is tracking volunteer time -- which can also be an important factor when applying for grants. If you volunteer time for trails, events, and the like for the Keweenaw silent sports community, please fill out our online form. Or, if you prefer, you can download this spreadsheet and keep track of your time.

Next Meeting: July 8, 2009. MTU SDC, Room 237, 7:30 p.m.

The goals of the Alliance include:

  • Provide a forum for communication between trail user groups, land owners, land
    managers and local government.
  • Provide a unified voice representing the common interests of alliance members
  • Develop a regional vision for trails in order to secure permanent access to existing trails
    and land for future expansions
  • Promote the use of and market trail and trail related activities

A KTA wiki is in place to facilitate editing of shared documents.
