All trails marked below were dragged twice with the combs down, leaving pretty nice track! We were getting fresh snow while grooming so there is a fresh cover over everything. Enjoy this last blast of winter and get out and ski!

All your main MTU trails were rolled this morning. Tolkien will be addressed this afternoon. Conditions are soft. I plan on letting it set up over night and dressing it up tomorrow morning with a Ginzu and, dare I say, try to lay some tracks. Enjoy!!

Grooming equates to breaking the trail open after a substantial snowfall with large wood snowshoes (Woodies). New and better map signage has been put in place on the white posts and at 11 other minor junctions. To maintain continuity, all the new map signage is cropped sections taken from the Trailhead maps. There is now an upper Trailhead Parking Lot locator sign on Archambeau Road.

We have now been able to lay classic tracks on our forest trails with the Ginzu, and have opened up the cross-country trails for the 2023-2024 winter season. The snow the past 10 days has been wonderful, and has given us something to work with on the trails. The tracks set up rather well this morning when grooming (temps 8 degrees, no new snow overnight). There are some uneven spots in the tracks throughout trails due to the snow conditions, and the wind (drifts).
