Copper Country Color Tour – September 29, 2012
This will be the 40th annual Fall Color Tour of Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula presented by Michigan Tech´s Copper Country Cycling Club. Included are 50k, 100k and 200k ride options. Each are fully supported with sag-wagon and food stops along the way. This is an excellent introduction to cycling in the UP’s Copper Country, great roads, low traffic, abundant scenery and a few challenging hills. Also, the pasties, served to the 200k riders in Copper Harbor, are a welcome treat. To save $5, register by Sept 15th. Online registration is open until Sept 28th.

Details
- Courses offered are of length 50K, 100K, and 200K.
- Tandems and uni-cycles are encouraged to join any offered length ride
- Pre-Registration/packet pick-up will be 6-8pm Friday Sept. 28 at the Michigan Tech Memorial Union building (1400 Townsend Dr., Houghton, MI 49931)
- Day-of registration/ packet pick-up will open at 6:30am Saturday Sept. 29 at the Michigan Tech Memorial Union building (1400 Townsend Dr., Houghton, MI 49931)
- Pre-ride speech will begin at 8am
- Police roll-out through downtown and across the Houghton Lift Bridge will depart at 8:10am
- Bagels, bananas, PB&J, and the infamous donuts along with many other foods will be offered at all rest stops
- Pasties will be enjoyed in Copper Harbor (200k route only)
- SAG wagon will follow last rider of each 50, 100, and 200k route
