First Moonlight Ski Saturday (Dec. 14)

The Keweenaw Nordic Ski Club will hold its first moonlight ski of the season on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013. Meet at 6:30 pm at the Maasto Hiihto Tomasi Road trailhead (near the Hancock Department of Public Works garage). The bonfire is held near the bottom of Sisu Hill on the River Trail in the Swedetown Creek gorge.

  • Bring a head light – clouds predicted (and more snow, yay!)
  • Ski or snowshoe down the River Trail to the bonfire (new route this season)
  • Kick back and relax on a bench
  • Nosh on yummy health foods such as hot dogs and s’mores
  • Sip your favorite beverage
