North Country Trail Segment Hike

November 6, 2016

The Peter Wolfe Chapter of the North Country Trail invites you to a hike on the NCT on Sunday, November 6th at 2:00 Eastern time in the beautiful Trap Hills, South of Ontonagon in the Ottawa National Forest. Mark Roberts will lead us on a 5 mile hilly hike of PWC Segments 3 and 4 including the Hacking Site Trail spur from FR 326.

Hikers in the Houghton area should meet us at noon at the Copper Country Mall--in the corner of the parking lot by the Ford dealership and highway M26 to car pool.

For driving instructions to the junction of OLD M64 and FR 326, click here, enter your home town, and State on the top left line then click return on your keyboard.
We will all meet at the junction of OLD M64 and FR 326 at 1:45pmEastern, we will drive to the trailhead from there and start the hike at 2pm.
Trail map of Segments 3 and 4 we will hike is here.

If you would like to carpool from the MDOT parking in Baraga, on US41, near M38, let us know.

Your phone/ipad may not have reception, so bring your paper map instructions from your town.

Bring your camera, water, snack, hiking pole etc. Share this email with your friends! We will do the hike rain or shine.

If you care to join us for dinner after the hike, then you will want to bring your dinner money and maybe a change of dry clothes/shoes.
