Swedetown Trails Club Member Meeting with Dr. Bill Short

November 20, 2015

The Swedetown Trails Club will hold its annual all-member meeting Friday, November 20th at 7 p.m. at the Swedetown Chalet in Calumet. There will be a very short business meeting along with a quick overview of what's new at the Swedetown Trails.

Our special guest is Dr. Bill Short, a skier from Marquette who enjoys the Swedetown Ski Trails. He'll tell us the rescue story from last March where a Bear Chase racer was revived and treated after a heart attack on the trails. This real life story is interesting to hear and who knows, it might inspire some New Year's resolutions to take a course in CPR because you never know when you can help someone. We can even practice chest compressions on a kid's soccer ball that simulates reality "good enough". Our guest will also share some of the information he talks to his patients about regarding what defines a good fitness program in our lives.

Stay for refreshments and social time.
