Swedetown Trails Club will hold its annual meeting Tuesday, November 13th at 7 p.m. at the Swedetown Chalet in Calumet. Everyone is welcome - we have a special guest speaker this year, Geologist Bill Rose.
When you ski or hike at Swedetown, you may look around and enjoy the trees, the vistas over hills and fields and the beautiful effects of snow and sky. But do you ever think about what’s under your feet? You can enrich your outdoor time if you know the geostory of Swedetown.
Bill Rose says “Swedetown’s geostory is like icing on a hot chocolate cake. There is a big coating of glacial deposits on top of big lava flows. I will try to tell the full spectacular story.”
There will be a short business meeting highlighting projects completed over the past year and what’s new for the ‘18-’19 season. We’ll have refreshments and social time. Please join us. And think snow!
