Annual Bridge Walk September 1, 2014

The annual the Portage Health Labor Day Bridge Walk will take place September 1, 2014. Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. at the Kestner Waterfront Park (Chutes and Ladders) in Houghton, with the five-mile walk beginning at 8:30 a.m.

The walk will begin at Kestner Waterfront Park and head east over the Portage Lake Lift Bridge to Hancock waterfront, back over the bridge to Houghton, east to the Michigan Tech campus, then west along the same route back to Kestner Waterfront Park. Course distance is approximately 5 miles.

The walk is free, and sponsored by the city of Hancock, city of Houghton, Portage Health, Michigan’s Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Farm Bureau Insurance.
