The annual Barnelopet kids ski event will take place Sunday, February 7, 2016, at the Maasto Hiihto ski trails. Registration begins at 1 pm at the Four Seasons Chalet behind the Houghton County Arena in Hancock. The event features races for youth, ages 3 - 17, with distances of 1, 2, 4, and 6 km.
