Luminary Ski at Maasto Jan. 14
This Saturday evening (6-8 PM), January 14, a 2K ski trail (with a short cut for 1K) will be lit with candles starting at the Hancock Chalet. A fire will be provided in the parking lot and hot chocolate and goodies in the Chalet. Bring the family. Extra goodies to share would be appreciated by all. No fee, donations appreciated.

Keweenaw Nordic Festival Feb 4-5: Registration Open
The Copper Loppet, the 44th running of the Copper Island Classic, and the new Low Pressure Loppet (a 15 km snow bike race), comprise the 2012 Library Restaurant Keweenaw Nordic Festival, February 4-5, 2012, in Houghton and Chassell, Michigan. Volunteers Needed for Keweenaw Nordic Events Feb. 4-5
We’re in need of volunteers for the Keweenaw Nordic Festival (www.keweenawnordicfest.com), Feb. 4-5, 2012. These events are fundraisers for the Ski Tigers middle and high school race teams and for the MTU Nordic ski team. We’ll need help in such areas as timing and registration both days. Additionally on Saturday, we need some help at aid stations, stadium set-up and stadium take-down. You can see the details and volunteer by using the volunteer webform.
