Copper Loppet, Low Pressure Loppet Results

It was a great day at the Tech Trails on Saturday, Feb. 4, with junior racers and citizen racers completing courses varying from 2.75km to 30km. The day also marked the debut of snow bike racing at the Tech Trails with the Low Pressure Loppet 15km snow bike race (attracting more than 20 riders). Results are posted at the Keweenaw Nordic Festival website.

Ski for Heart Coming Feb. 11

Ski for Heart is Saturday, February 11th. This is a fundraiser for Omega House and the Swedetown Trails. Ski or snowshoe 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Register starting at 8:30 a.m. Come on out for good causes and a nice active day. Enjoy food and door prizes at the chalet too! Continue reading →

Copper Island Classic Slated Feb. 5, 2012, in Chassell

The 44th running of the Copper Island Classic will take place Sunday, February 5, 2012, at the Chassell Classic Trails.  This classic-only race includes a 2km youth race, and 5km and 10km races. Skiers can choose to race for the gold or participate in the “guess your time” event. For details and registration, go to www.keweenawnordicfest.com.
