Snowshoe Hike Jan. 26 at the Steve Farm Nature Area
The Keweenaw Land Trust will host a snowshoe mike at its newest nature area, the Steve Farm at Lovell Creek, at 2 pm on Sunday, January 26. Our outing leader will be Jim Belote, famous around the KLT for helping keep the Paavola Wetlands trails in tip-top shape. See the KLT website for directions.There is no official parking area at Lovell Creek yet, but there is plenty of space along the side of Upper Point Mills Road to safely park your vehicle. The group will gather near the open meadow and head out around 2:00 PM, with a planned return around an hour later. Bring your camera! Nature abounds throughout the wetlands and forest and you’ll never know what you’ll see.
Be sure to pack water, snacks, a pair of snowshoes, and weather appropriate clothing.
