Nordic Walking Clinic, Demo January 25

Pete Edwards, creator and promoter of a Nordic walking system (www.skiwalking.com), is coming to town for Heikinpaiva and he’s bringing 200 pairs of Nordic Walking Sticks.  Rumor has it that Portage Health will be sponsoring a Nordic Walking clinic on Friday the 25th of January.  Interested walkers will be invited to walk in the Heikinpaiva parade on Saturday. 

Teaser info.:  Pete will be returning to the Keweenaw in June for FinnFest 2013 where he hopes we will set a world record for most people Nordic Walking at one time.  This could be your opportunity to make it into the Guinness book of world records.
