Teton Gravity Research Film Nov. 9
Teton Gravity Research will present its latest film “Tight Loose” on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the Orpheum Theater in Hancock. the presale price is $12 ($15 at the door). The film features downhill skiers and snowboarders pushing the boundaries of their sport (and skills) from India to Alaska. Tickets are available at www.tetongravity.com. All attendees will receive a free day pass to Treetops in Gaylord and two-for-one tickets (consecutive days) at Indianhead and Blackjack. See the details on Facebook.

KNSC Maasto Bridge Jam Slated for December 3
The Fourth Annual Maasto Bridge Jam, Keweenaw Nordic Ski Club’s jazz-funk-rock fundraiser, is set for 7:00 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, in the Orpheum Theater in Hancock. Headliners are “Uncle Floyd,” and “Chirp,” two popular bands with tunes from Pink Floyd, the Rolling Stones, Curtis Mayfield and Steely Dan to Sly and the Family Stone. Tickets are $15 pre-sale and $20 at the door, with discounts for students ($10) and preteens ($5). Tickets are available at Studio Pizza in Hancock and Cross Country Sports in Calumet.

North Country Trail Hike November 6
The Peter Wolfe Chapter of the North Country Trail invites you to a hike on the NCT on Sunday, November 6th at 2:00 Eastern time in the beautiful Trap Hills, South of Ontonagon in the Ottawa National Forest. Mark Roberts will lead a 5 mile hilly hike of PWC Segments 3 and 4 including the Hacking Site Trail spur from FR 326. Continue reading →
