Classic Wax Clinic December 7
The Keweenaw Nordic Ski Club (KNSC) will host a wax clinic focused on classic skis on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. The event takes place at the ski chalet at the Houghton County fairgrounds in Hancock. Bring your skis and Mike Young will teach you everything you always wanted to know about kick wax selection, proper application, and cleaning.

Grooming Begins at Michigan Tech
Michigan Tech has started grooming operations for the 2013-14 season and, as of November 26, will have the lights on until 9 pm each night. You can keep track of up-to-date trail conditions on the right-hand side of keweenawtrails.com

Ski Swap, Ski Tigers Registration November 9
Copper Country Ski Tigers, a youth cross-country ski program in its 19th year, will host registration for new and returning skiers age 5-17 at Houghton High School multi-purpose room, Saturday Nov. 9 from 2-4 p.m. Also from 2-4 will be a Nordic equipment and clothing swap. Continue reading →

Portage Health Slates Turkey Trot for Thanksgiving Morning
The 2nd Annual Turkey Trot will take place Thanksgiving morning (November 28, 2013) at Portage Health in Hancock. This free 5k walk/run is a great event for the entire family. Start the holiday off right by participating in this fun event! The walk/run begins at 9 a.m. at Portage Health in Hancock. The first 150 people to register will receive a free Turkey Trot shirt.
