Muck Run Coming Nov. 2

The annual Muck Run at the Michigan Tech trails will take place Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013. It is a run through mud, muck, and mire (and maybe even snow). All proceeds benefit the Michigan Tech men’s and women’s cross country teams. See the PDF registration form for complete details.

Northern Film Festival Features Isle Royale Film

The Ninth Annual Northern Lights Film Festival will be held October 25-27 in the Rozsa Center on the Michigan Tech campus. Music Jam to Support Maasto Bridge Oct. 12

The Keweenaw Nordic Ski Club will hold a fundraiser to replace one of the key bridges over Swedetown Creek, which has been partially washed away. The event will take place at the Orpheum Theater in Hancock on Oct. 12, with an evening of kickin’ music with the goal of raising funds for the $26,000+ bridge replacement. Hear Keweenaw BrewGrass, RealTime jazz and Craic doing Irish and folk tunes. Opened by Rhythm 203 at 6 pm. Tickets are $15 in advance, students $10, preteens $5. $20 at the door. Hike for the House October 5, 2013

Omega House is pleased to announce its 2nd Annual Hike for the House, Saturday, October 5, 2013, at the Michigan Tech Trails (main trailhead). This special event, presented by Portage Health, honors those who have taken life’s final path in their journey, and hopes to raise awareness of chronic diseases.

Join us for the 2.5k, 5k or 10k hike to honor the path that every life takes. Enjoy the morning with friends and families in a setting where loved ones will be remembered.
