Glide-n-Gorge Approaching March 4; Tickets on Sale Now

The Keweenaw Nordic Ski Club will present the fourth annual Glide in the Swedetown Creek Gorge on the Maasto Hiihto ski trails, Sunday, March 4. Between noon and 3 pm, three tables will serve scrumptious fare on a well-marked trail through the gorge. Continue reading →

Great Bear Chase Coming March 10

It is a great cross country ski event in a land of great amounts of snow. It is the Great Bear Chase. Registration is open at www.bearchase.org.

New for 2012:

  • A separate 50 km classic race, awards, and start time.
  • A new 14 km race.
  • Improved course – no road crossings, no snowmobile trail section!
  • Snow bike race on Sunday!

Junior Bear Chase Registration Open

The Copper Country Ski Tigers will host the annual Junior Bear Chase Friday, March 9, 2012, at the Swedetown ski trails in Calumet, MI.  This event is open to the public and features Nordic ski races for youth 16 and under.  You can download the registration form, which also includes more information on the event.
