Michigan Tech Checking Passes on Weekends
Michigan Tech has added a booth at the main trail head and will be checking passes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during the ski season. A message in the university’s employee publication states: “Anyone using the trails must have their pass displayed and may be delayed until verified as a student or paid user.”
The booth will also sell daily and annual passes, and rent skis and snowshoes.
Hours:
Friday, 5 to 8 p.m.
Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Winter Family (K-6) Fun Night: The Science & Art of Snow
K-6 students and their parents are invited to enjoy a fun evening together learning about the science of snow, making a variety of snowflakes, and taking a night hike at the Nara Nature Center & Park in Houghton (next to the Humane Society shelter; just past the Pilgrim River Steak House). Snow is Back – Grooming Resumes at Tech, Swedetown
December 12, 2012 – With anywhere from 8-12″ of new snow the last two days (depending on where you measure), skiing has resumed at the Tech Trails and Swedetown Trails. This will mark the third day of rolling and packing — excellent early season conditions. Strap on the boards and have a ski!
